- 1 large fat hen
- 5 eggs, beaten
- 1 qt. sweet milk
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- cornbread dressing (is best)
Directions

1Cook chicken the day before.

2Take meat from bones.

3Use stock for dressing.

4Heat milk to lukewarm.

5Stir in beaten eggs.

6Add flour that has been mixed with a little of the broth.

7Stir constantly until the spoon is coated.

8Dice the chicken.

9Make dressing to suit your taste.

10Place a layer of dressing, then a layer of chicken.

11Pour custard over top.

12Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.

13This can be made the day before.

14Bake when ready to use.
