- 6 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. bread crumbs
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- oil for frying
Directions

1Cut the chicken into 1/2-inch strips.

2Place in a large resealable plastic bag.

3Combine egg, buttermilk and garlic powder.

4Pour over chicken.

5Seal and refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours.

6In another large resealable plastic bag, combine flour, bread crumbs, salt and baking powder.

7Drain chicken, discarding buttermilk mixture.

8Place chicken in the bag with the flour mixture; seal and shake to coat.

9Fry the chicken in batches for 4 to 5 minutes or until golden brown.

10Drain on paper towels.
