- 1 whole chicken
- 4 c. water
- celery tops
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 lb. bacon, cut up
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
- 1 (1 lb. 13 oz.) tomatoes, mashed
- stock from chicken
- 2 to 3 c. water
- 1 to 2 tsp. yogi shrimp boil (concentrate)
- 2 c. sliced okra
Directions

1Boil chicken

2in 4 cups water with celery tops, sliced onion, salt and pepper until meat is done.

3When cool, remove meat from bone.

4Reserve stock and skim fat when cool.

5Saute bacon, pepper, onion and celery until transparent.

6Add parsley, tomatoes, chicken stock, water and shrimp boil.

7Cook until vegetables are tender.

8Add chicken and okra; cook 10 to 20 minutes more.

9May be served over rice or as a soup.
