- 6 chicken breasts or thighs (3 lb.)
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/4 c. butter
- 3 small onions, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 tsp. dried basil
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 can mushrooms
Directions

1Coat chicken in flour.

2Melt butter in large skillet; place chicken skin side down and brown.

3Add onions, garlic, parsley, salt, basil, water and tomato sauce.

4Cover; simmer for 50 to 60 minutes, or until chicken is tender.

5Add mushrooms.

6If necessary, add more water to sauce.
