Ingredients

  • 1 chicken fryer, cut up
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1/2 tsp. lime or lemon juice
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/2 c. wild rice
  • 1/2 c. white rice
  • 1/2 pt. sour cream
  • 1 bouillon cube
  • 1/4 c. chives, chopped
  • pinch of oregano
  • 1/4 c. dry California white wine

Directions

    Cut up frying chicken.

    Marinate in a mixture of 2 cups milk (or enough to almost cover chicken pieces) and 1 teaspoon salt for about 2 hours.

    Drain, but save 1/2 cup of the marinade.

    Brown chicken lightly in 1/4 cup butter.

    Squeeze lime or lemon juice lightly over top.

    Add salt and pepper to taste.
