  • chicken
  • 2 1/2 c. hot broth
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • black pepper

Directions

    Cook chicken; remove from bones and place in baking dish. Pour 2 1/2 to 3 cups broth over chicken.

    Melt butter.

    Add the flour, buttermilk and black pepper.

    Mix and spoon over chicken (this makes the crust).

    Bake at 425° for approximately 25 minutes, or until brown.
