- 1 large cut up fryer
- 1 doz. corn tortillas
- 1/2 stick oleo
- 1 (4 oz.) can green chilies, chopped
- 1 lb. grated Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can sliced water chestnuts (can be omitted)
- 1 small onion, chopped
Directions

1Boil chicken until tender.

2Remove from bones, reserve broth. Melt oleo, add chilies and onion and cook until tender.

3Add chicken, soups, chestnuts and one soup can of chicken broth.

4Tear tortillas into eighths.

5Layer in greased casserole tortillas, chicken mixture and cheese.

6Repeat at least 3 layers.

7Bake 1 hour at 350°.
