Ingredients

  • 6 chicken breasts
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 or 3 ribs celery with tops, chopped
  • 2 or 3 garlic pods, diced
  • 2 or 3 tsp. dried parsley
  • 3 large carrots, diced
  • rice or noodles (optional)
  • 2 bay leaves
  • pepper and salt
  • 1 tsp. salad dressing
  • 1 or 2 cans diced tomatoes
  • 3 potatoes, diced

Directions

    Simmer chicken, onion, celery, salt, pepper, bay leaves and salad dressing, about 3 hours.

    Remove chicken and debone.

    Then add chicken, tomatoes, diced carrots and potatoes.

    Simmer another hour.

    Add parsley and rice or noodles last 20 or 30 minutes.
