Chicken Spaghetti

Ingredients

  • 1 large hen, cooked, skinned, deboned and cut into small pieces (6 chicken breasts)
  • 2 (10 oz.) pkg. spaghetti noodles, cooked in chicken broth
  • 1 lb. American or Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped fine or garlic powder
  • 1 c. celery, diced
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (2 oz.) jar pimento, chopped
  • salt and pepper

Directions

    Saute onion, garlic, celery and green pepper in margarine until tender. Remove from heat and add soups and pimento.

    Combine soup mixture, spaghetti and chicken.

    Mix well.

    Place 1/2 in a lightly greased 4-quart baking dish and top with 1/2 of the grated cheese.

    Put another layer of spaghetti mixture and top with remaining cheese. Bake at 325° until cheese melts and all is bubbling hot (about 30 minutes).
