  • 1/3 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1/2 c. oil or shortening
  • 1 can cream of chicken or mushroom soup
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. water
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp. poultry seasoning or sage
  • 2 1/2 to 3 lb. frying chicken
  • 1 c. uncooked rice
  • 1 Tbsp. or 1/2 c. chopped onion

    In paper bag, combine flour, salt and pepper.

    Shake chicken in and brown in oil.

    Combine other ingredients in large skillet; mix with chicken.

    Cover with foil.

    Bake at 375° for 55 to 60 minutes, or until done.
