Ingredients

  • 3 lb. ground meat (very lean)
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 1 large (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 cans Ro-Tel tomatoes and green chilies
  • 1 can refried beans
  • 1 can Bush chili hot beans
  • 1 hot pepper, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic

Directions

    Brown meat in a skillet and pour off all fat. Add pepper, onions and garlic.

    Cook until tender. Put meat mix in large cooking pot and add other ingredients. Cook on very low heat for 4 to 5 hours, stirring occasionally.

    The secret is in the long, slow cooking.
