- 1 lb. ground beef or ground turkey
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 1 c. green pepper, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 2 cans tomato sauce
- chili powder to taste
- salt to taste
- 2 large cans red kidney beans (undrained)
- dash of pepper
Directions

1In Dutch oven or a large kettle, saute onion and green peppers in oil for 5 minutes or until soft.

2Stir occasionally.

3Add beef or turkey; cook slowly until lightly browned.

4Stir often, breaking meat apart.

5Add in tomato sauce and remaining seasonings.

6Cook tightly covered over low heat for about 20 minutes.

7Add beans; stir well.

8Simmer uncovered for 20 to 25 minutes.

9Serve over cooked rice or use for another favorite, chili dogs.
