  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 2 1/2 to 3 lb. hamburger
  • 3 tall cans kidney beans
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 10 to 12 oz. Campbell's tomato juice
  • 4 Tbsp. chili powder
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper

Directions

    Cook onion in small amount of oil for 5 minutes.

    Crumble hamburger and brown.

    Add tomato paste, kidney beans, juice and seasonings.

    Add 1/2 can water.

    Cook at least one hour, stirring often.

    Chili should be very thick.

    Serves 6 to 8 people.
