  • 2 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 small bud garlic or garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 oz. pkg. Williams chili seasoning
  • 1 qt. (32 oz.) tomato juice
  • 1 pt. water
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar

Directions

    Cook beef in large kettle until it loses its red color.

    Add salt, pepper, sugar and chopped onion.

    Add tomato juice, water and chili seasoning; stir until dissolved.

    Cook slowly, about 30 minutes, then simmer about an hour or two.

    Add beans just before serving.

    Do not cook with chili.
