Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 qt. V-8 juice
  • 2 cans Del Monte Mexican stewed tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 6 Tbsp. (or more) chili powder
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3 cans Bush's chili hot beans
  • 1 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
  • salt to taste

Directions

    In large pot, brown ground chuck with onion and garlic; drain fat.

    Return meat to pots and add remaining ingredients.

    Bring to boil, stirring occasionally.

    Turn heat to low and simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
