- 10 lb. hamburger
- 2 gal. red kidney beans
- 3 qt. canned tomatoes
- 5 (10 1/2 oz.) cans tomato soup (condensed type)
- 1/2 small bottle catsup
- 3 c. chopped onion
- 4 c. chopped celery
- 3 or 4 tsp. salt
- pepper to taste
- 1 1/4 tsp. chili powder (or more to taste)
Directions

1Fry onion and celery in a little butter or margarine very slowly, but do not brown.

2Fry hamburger very slowly and do not brown.

3Mix all together and cook slowly for 4 hours or more, after adding all other ingredients.

4If too thick, thin with tomato juice.

5Stir often so as not to burn.
