Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 lb. ground pork
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 2/3 c. uncooked rice
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 1/2 c. canned tomatoes
  • 2 1/2 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. chili powder

Directions

    Mix beef, pork, egg, rice, milk, 1 teaspoon chili powder and salt.

    Form into small balls.

    Brown in hot fryer.

    Combine tomatoes, water, onion, salt and remaining chili powder.

    Bring to a boil.

    Drop balls into mixture.

    Cover and cook slowly for 1 1/2 hours.
