- 2 green peppers, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. shortening or oil
- 1 c. canned tomatoes, chopped (undrained)
- 1 (4 oz.) can diced green chilies
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 2 c. grated Old English brand or Velveeta brand cheese
Directions

1Saute peppers and onion in shortening.

2Stir continuously while adding tomatoes; cook five minutes.

3Add green chilies, salt, chili powder and cheese.

4Cook on low heat until cheese is melted.

5Serve hot with tortillas or corn chips. May be made ahead of time and reheated for serving.
