- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/2 medium green pepper, chopped (optional)
- 1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans (undrained)
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes (undrained)
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. elbow macaroni (uncooked)
- 1/2 c. shredded cheese (optional)
Directions

1In large skillet, brown beef, onion and pepper in small amount of oil; drain.

2Add kidney beans, tomatoes, water, chili powder, salt and macaroni.

3Cover; simmer gently for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4Just before serving, top with cheese and heat until cheese melts.
