  • 27 oz. can whole green chilies
  • 1 1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 3/4 lb. Jack cheese, grated
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 13 oz. can evaporated Pet milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 small can tomato sauce

Directions

    Wash and remove seeds from chilies and let soak in cold water for 1 hour; drain.

    Lay chilies flat in bottom of baking dish. Put grated cheeses on top.

    Mix egg, flour, milk and salt.
  4. 4
    Lay more chilies on top of cheese.

    Pour milk mixture over top of cheese, then more chilies on top.

    Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Remove and pour tomato sauce over top.

    Bake for 10 minutes more.
