- 1 gal. tomatoes
- 2 c. chopped onions
- 2 c. chopped red sweet peppers
- 1 pod hot pepper
- 1 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. mustard seed
- 1 Tbsp. celery seed
- 3 Tbsp. mixed spices
- 2 1/2 c. vinegar
Directions

1Wash and drain vegetables. Scald, core, peel and chop the tomatoes.

2Peel onions. Remove seeds from peppers, chop and measure.

3Mix all ingredients except spices and vinegar.

4Boil 45 minutes. Add spices (tied in bag). Boil until very thick, then add vinegar and boil until thick as wanted.

5Pour boiling hot into jars and seal at once.
