  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper
  • 6 cans whole green chilies
  • 1 pt. sour cream
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 3/4 lb. Monterey Jack cheese
  • 6 eggs, beaten
  • 1 (7 oz.) jar chili sauce

Directions

    Brown meat and drain fat.

    Add chili powder and pepper. Grease a 9 x 12-inch pan.

    Put a layer of split green chilies, cheese, meat, another layer of chilies, cheese and meat.

    Mix eggs and sour cream.

    Pour on top of meat.

    Bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Pour sauce over and heat 5 minutes.

    Serves 8 people. Good at brunch or supper.
