Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cup Flour
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/3 cup Butter
  • 1 Egg slightly beaten
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Water
  • 3/4 cup Milk
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1/2 cup Shredded coconut (optional)

Directions

    In a large bowl, sift flour, add sugar, coconut and salt.

    mix together.

    Add butter and egg, using your hand mix very well.

    It will be crumbly.

    Pour milk and water.

    Mix well into a dough then kneed the dough until smooth

    Cut a chunk and roll on an oiled board to a 1/2cm thick.

    Using a sharp knife or fondant cutter, cut into 1cm*1cm chunks.

    Deep fry in hot oil until golden or light brown.

    Serve with milk or a drink or jst enjoy it as it is.
