- 1 lb. raw shrimp, shelled and deveined or 1 lb. frozen shrimp
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 Tbsp. water
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. ketchup
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 6 scallions, sliced
- 1 tsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp. ginger
Directions

1Wash and drain the shrimp.

2Sprinkle with the salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a skillet; saute the shrimp 1 minute.

3Add a mixture of the ketchup, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, ginger, scallions and garlic.

4Cook over low heat 3 minutes, stirring frequently.

5Mix together the cornstarch and water.

6Add to the shrimp and cook 2 minutes.

7Serves 4 to 6.
