Chinese Ginger Ribs

  • country ribs (select number needed)
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 small onion, quartered
  • 1 c. ketchup
  • 1/2 c. beef bouillon
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. powdered ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

Directions

    Cover ribs with cold water.

    Add bay leaf, cloves and onion. Bring to a boil and simmer 40 minutes.

    Make sauce with rest of ingredients.

    Dip ribs in sauce while they are hot.

    Coat ribs; let cool to room temperature.

    After 1 hour, dab with sauce again. Bake 15 minutes at 425°; turn heat down to 325° and bake 30 to 45 minutes longer.
