Ingredients

  • 1 c. long-grain rice (regular, not instant)
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 cans beef consomme
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp. soy sauce
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms, drained

Directions

    Mix all above ingredients together in 1 1/2-quart casserole. Cover and bake at 400° for 1 hour.

    This can be baked at any temperature the oven is on, but time may need to be adjusted. Cook until all moisture is absorbed.

    Stir once or twice during baking.
