Chocolate Bark Candy

  • 1 pkg. (1 stack) saltine crackers
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips or whatever flavor you prefer
  • 1 c. butter (1/2 lb.)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Line cookie sheet with aluminum foil.

    Cover with crackers, placing edge to edge.

    Boil butter and sugar together for 3 minutes, stir in vanilla and pour over crackers.

    Place in 375° oven for 8 minutes.

    Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle chips over top.

    Let stand until chips melt, then spread as evenly as possible over the crackers.

    Place in freezer overnight. Remove from cookie sheet.

    Strip off foil and break into pieces.
