  • 2 1/2 sq. chocolate
  • 1/3 c. butter or oleo
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. nut meats

    Melt chocolate and butter.

    Add sugar to eggs, beating thoroughly, then add chocolate mixture.

    Fold in flour sifted with dry ingredients.

    Add vanilla and nuts.

    Spread 1/2-inch thick in a shallow pan and bake in a slow oven (325°) for 30 minutes or until done.

    Remove from pan and cool slightly.
