  • 1 c. margarine
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 c. plain flour
  • 2 3/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa or 3 oz. chocolate

Directions

    Cream together the sugar and margarine; add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one.

    Add milk alternately with flour and other dry ingredients.

    Add vanilla.

    Pour into 2 pans and bake at 350° until done (approximately 25 to 30 minutes).

    Frost with your favorite chocolate icing.
