Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened, plus more for pans
- 1 12 cups flour, plus more for pans
- 1 12 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups quick-cooking oats
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 12 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 (12 ounce) bag chocolate chips
Directions

1Heat oven to 350F Coat 2 eight inch square pans with butter, then with flour and set aside.

2Place the butter and brown sugar in a mixing bowl, and beat until creamy.

3Add the vanilla and eggs, and mix until well combined.

4Stir in the chocolate chips.

5Combine the dry ingredients together.

6Mix.

7Blend with the butter mixture.

8Divide the dough between two prepared pans and flatten the dough, pressing it to the edge with a rubber spatula.

9Bake until golden brown and set in the center, about 35 minutes, rotating pans halfway through cooking time.

10Place the pans on wire rack to cool.

11Once cool, remove from pan, and cut in half to form two 4x8 - inch rectangles.

12Cut each rectangle into six inch long bars.
