  • 9 c. sifted all-purpose flour
  • 4 tsp. baking soda
  • 3 c. granulated sugar
  • 3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 4 c. vegetable shortening
  • 4 c. chopped nuts
  • 4 pkg. (12 oz. each) semi-sweet chocolate pieces

Directions

    Combine flour, baking soda, salt and both sugars in a large bowl.

    Cut in shortening with a pastry blender until mix is crumbly.

    Stir in nuts and chocolate pieces.
