  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 c. milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp. butter, optional

    Beat egg yolks well and add the milk, beating until well mixed.

    to the dry ingredients, mixing well.

    Cook until thickened (easier if double boiler is used).

    Be sure to cook several minutes after
