- 6 cup rolled oats - not quick oats
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 4 tbsp butter, melted
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup apple juice
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 3 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cup rice cereal
- 1 cup wheat germ
- 1/4 cup roughly chopped almonds
- 8 oz milk chocolate - melted
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350 .

2In a bowl toss oats with canola oil , melted butter and salt.

3Spread on baking sheet.

4Toast in oven 15-20 min.stir ever now and then .

5To make sure they do not burn.

6Reduce heat to 325 .

7(Jelly Roll Pan) .

8In medium sausepan.

9Combine brown sugar, honey, apple juice, molasses.

10Heat mixture slowly.
-
11Stirring until combined.stir in vanilla.

12Remove from heat .

13Take oats out of oven.

14Toss the oats, rice cereal, wheat germ , pecans, almonds.

15Pour sugar mixture over oats in bowl.Stirring as you pour.Toss to combine.

16It will be sticky.

17Press into baking sheet.

18Lined with foil.

19And sprayed.Press down into pan.

20Bake 25 min.until golden brown.Remove from oven.

21Cool..(Jelly Roll Pan ) .

22Cut into pieces with a sharp knife.If easier you can cut them while warm

23Melt chocolate.Dip the cooled bars in the chocolate.So that only chocolate is on top.
