- 1 box dark chocolate cake mix (best when using off brand)
- 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup sugar
Directions

1Mix cake as directed on package.

2For filling, mix room temperature cream cheese, egg, sugar, salt, and chocolate chips.

3Fill cupcake liners 1/3 full.

4Add 1 heaping teaspoon of the filling.

5Mix nuts and sugar together.

6Sprinkle some on each cupcake.

7Bake at 350F for 20 minutes.
