  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 c. quick-cooking or old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. light brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 c. chopped walnuts
  • confectioners sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/2 c. margarine, softened
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

    together flour, salt, soda and cocoa; set aside. Put oatmeal in bowl, stir in boiling water and let stand about 10 minutes.
