Chocolate Pecan Shortbread

- 2 c. flour
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. pecan pieces
- 9 oz. unsalted butter
- 1/3 c. light brown sugar
- 7 Tbsp. sugar
- 6 oz. semisweet or bittersweet chocolate
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1Heat oven to 300°.

2Combine flour and salt in food processor, do pecans until fine not powdery.

3Add to flour mixture.

4Beat butter and sugar.

5Reduce to slower speed, beat in flour mixture. Roll into tablespoon ball.

6Put onto ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart.

7Flatten about 2 inches around.

8Bake 30 minutes. Melt chocolate in 250° oven.

9Dip half cookie in melted chocolate or pour melted chocolate on cookie.
