  • 1 1/2 sq. chocolate
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/3 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 1/2 c. sweet milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Melt chocolate and butter in double boiler.

    Scald milk and add to chocolate mixture.

    Mix flour, sugar and salt together. Beat egg yolk and add dry ingredients to eggs.

    Add 1 cup hot mixture to egg mixture.

    Mix well and add to chocolate mixture in double boiler.

    Cook until thick, stirring constantly.

    Let cool. Add vanilla and put in baked pie crust.

    Beat egg whites and put on pie.

    Bake until meringue is browned.
