- 2 sq. unsweetened chocolate (2 oz.)
- 1 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. flour (all-purpose)
- 2 2/3 c. milk
- 4 egg yolks
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. margarine
- 2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Melt chocolate in double boiler.

2Blend in 1 cup sugar and flour; mix into the melted chocolate.

3Gradually add milk, stirring constantly.

4Cook for 20 minutes until thick.

5Cover; cook 10 minutes.

6Separate eggs, reserving whites for the meringue.

7Place yolks in mixing bowl; beat with a fork.

8Add remaining 1/3 cup sugar; add this to chocolate mixture.

9Return to heat of double boiler; cook 5 minutes.

10Remove from heat.

11Add salt, margarine and vanilla.

12Set aside to cool.

13Set oven at 350°.

14Pour filling into 9-inch prebaked pie shell.

15Top with meringue; bake until golden brown.
