  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 3/4 c. milk

    Beat butter and sugar until fluffy.

    Add milk alternately with sifted dry ingredients in 3 additions.

    Pour into tube pan or 15-inch oblong pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 20 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean.
