Chocolate Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. margarine
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 5 eggs (unbeaten)
  • 3 c. plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. cocoa
  • 1 c. chocolate milk (milk with chocolate syrup)
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Preheat oven to 325°.

    Cream shortening and butter.

    Add sugar; beat until creamy.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.

    Sift flour and dry ingredients together.

    Add to mixture alternately with milk which vanilla has been added to. Blend thoroughly.

    Turn into greased and lightly floured tube pan (you can use Pam instead).

    Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
