- 1/2 lb. butter (1 c.)
- 3 c. sugar
- 3 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 c. oil
- 5 eggs
- 5 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Have all ingredients at room temperature.

2Cream the butter, oil and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift flour, cocoa and baking powder. Add flour mixture alternately with milk to cream mixture. Add vanilla; blend well. Turn into a greased and floured 9-inch tube pan. Bake in preheated oven at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
