Chocolate Pound Cake

- 1 cup butter
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 3 cups sugar
- 5 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons cocoa
- 1 cup milk
Directions

1Cream together the butter and shortening.

2Add sugar and mix well.

3Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.

4Add vanilla.

5Sift all dry ingredients together.

6Add dry ingredients and milk alternately until creamy.

7Bake in 10 inch tube pan or bundt pan.

8Bake at 325 degrees F for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

9If you do not want a chocolate pound cake, just leave off the cocoa.
