- 20 ladyfingers
- 1/2 lb. sweet chocolate
- 3 eggs, separated
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. whipping cream, divided
Directions

1Line loaf pan with wax paper.

2Place 8 halves of ladyfingers in bottom of pan.

3Melt chocolate over hot water.

4Remove from heat.

5Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating vigorously after each egg.

6Beat egg whites stiff; fold in and add vanilla.

7Whip half of cream, fold in and spread.

8Spread chocolate on ladyfingers in 4 rows.

9Top with ladyfingers, chill at least 4 hours.

10Frost with whipped cream.
