- 8 eggs
- 3 heaping Tbsp. cake flour
- 1 Tbsp. water
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3 level Tbsp. cocoa
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Separate eggs; beat yolks until light and fluffy.

2Slowly add 1/2 of the sugar, beating well.

3Add vanilla; gently fold in flour mixture, using water to lighten the batter.

4Beat egg whites until frothy.

5Add remaining sugar gradually.

6Beat until soft peaks form.

7Gently fold mixture into egg whites.

8Spread in a large jelly roll pan that has been greased and lined with waxed or parchment paper.

9Bake 15 minutes at 400°.

10Turn out on a towel sprinkled with confectioners sugar.

11Peel paper off.

12Let cool slightly and roll up.
