  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

    Melt margarine, Crisco, cocoa and water in saucepan.

    Mix in bowl the flour and sugar.

    Add saucepan mixture.

    Add eggs, mix well.

    Add buttermilk, soda and vanilla.

    Pour into greased pan and bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
