Ingredients: 2 c. sugar; 2 c. flour; 2 sticks butter or oleo; 5 Tbsp. cocoa; 1 c. water; 1/2 c. buttermilk; 2 eggs, slightly beaten; 1 tsp. vanilla; 1 tsp. baking soda; 1 tsp. cinnamon

2 c. flour
2 sticks butter or oleo
5 Tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

Sift together in large mixing bowl sugar and flour.

Place in saucepan and bring to a boil butter or oleo, cocoa and water.

Pour butter mixture over flour and sugar; mix well and add buttermilk, eggs, vanilla, baking soda and cinnamon.

Mix and bake on a slightly greased 10 x 15-inch pan at 400° for 20 to 25 minutes. Before cake is done, make icing.
