Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons chocolate bar dark, flakes, or chocolate chips.
  • 2/3 cup margarine
  • 3 7/8 tablespoons lard softened
  • 1 3/4 cups sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 5/8 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Directions

    Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

    Grease a square pan with butter and flour.

    Use a knife to scrape chocolate bar into flakes.

    Put the margarine and lard in a bowl, and place the bowl in the microwave.

    Add all remaining ingredients, except the chocolate, and beat to a creamy mass.

    Add 2 tablespoons of chocolate flakes, and mix.

    Place the dough in the cake pan, and sprinkle with the remaining chocolate.

    Bake for 30-35 minutes.

    Check for doneness with a toothpick, and remove from the oven. Let cool.

    Cut into squares, and serve.
