Chocolate Upside Down Pudding Cake

  • 1 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 6 Tbsp. milk
  • 1/2 Tbsp. melted butter or oil
  • 1/2 c. nuts, optional
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 c. hot water

Directions

    Mix together the flour, baking powder and brown sugar.

    Add the milk, melted butter and nuts.

    Spread in an 8 inch pan.

    Mix together the granulated sugar and cocoa and spread over mixture in pan.

    Pour the hot water over all.

    Bake 30-35 minutes at 350°. Cake will rise to the top of pan with sauce on the bottom. Serve warm with ice cream.
