- 1 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 6 Tbsp. milk
- 1/2 Tbsp. melted butter or oil
- 1/2 c. nuts, optional
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 4 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1 c. hot water
Directions

1Mix together the flour, baking powder and brown sugar.

2Add the milk, melted butter and nuts.

3Spread in an 8 inch pan.

4Mix together the granulated sugar and cocoa and spread over mixture in pan.

5Pour the hot water over all.

6Bake 30-35 minutes at 350°. Cake will rise to the top of pan with sauce on the bottom. Serve warm with ice cream.
