Ingredients

  • 1 c. milk, scalded and cooled
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1/2 c. warm water
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 4 to 5 c. flour

Directions

    Melt shortening into hot milk, then cool.

    Dissolve yeast into the warm water.

    Mix in all other ingredients.

    Dough may be sticky, but do not add more flour.

    Let rise, roll out and cut. Bake at 350° until brown.
