  • 1 lb. cubed beef
  • 1 c. sliced onion
  • 1 c. chopped celery
  • 1 small can mushrooms
  • 1 small can water chestnuts
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 tsp. soy sauce
  • 1 can bean sprouts, drained
  • 1 can chow mein noodles

Directions

    Brown meat.

    Add onion, celery and water.

    Simmer 30 to 40 minutes.

    Add bean sprouts, soy sauce and water chestnuts.

    Heat well and thicken with cornstarch.

    Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve with chow mein noodles and rice.
